The wind turbines rotate like big windmills in the hands of children. On February 10, 2022, the Gansu Provincial People's Government issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development in Gansu Province", which requires that by 2025, the sustainable development capacity of the Hexi Corridor clean energy base represented by new energy will be comprehensively improved. Important progress has been made in the construction of the East Comprehensive Energy Base, a new power system with new energy as the main body has been basically established, and a large-scale power transmission development pattern has been formed.

According to the target plan, by 2025, Gansu's photovoltaic power generation will be 41.69GW, an increase of 32.03GW compared with the end of 2020; wind power will be 38.53GW, an increase of 24.8GW. At the same time, we will steadily and orderly promote the pilot work of distributed photovoltaics in the whole county. By 2025, 3.5GW of distributed photovoltaic power generation will be built; it is estimated that by 2025, the installed capacity of energy storage in the province will reach 6 million kilowatts.
