Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed railway along the river from Shanghai to Hefei: In 2022, the construction of 6 sections of the new Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed railway will start. The National Development and Reform Commission has officially approved the feasibility study report on the new Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway, which will start soon. The project connects Shanghai, Jiangsu Province, and Anhui Province, one city and two provinces. The line starts from the newly built Shanghai North Railway Station in Shanghai, and goes westward through Suzhou City, Nantong City, Taizhou City, Yangzhou City, Nanjing City in Jiangsu Province, Chuzhou City in Anhui Province, and finally ends at Hefei South Railway Station in Hefei City. The total length of the new line is 519.126km. The estimated total project investment is 173.73 billion yuan.

Nantong via Suzhou Jiaxing to Ningbo Railway: Nantong via Suzhou via Jiaxing to Ningbo high-speed railway, referred to as Tongsu-Jiayong high-speed railway. Tongsu Jiayong Engineering Co., Ltd. has been signed by China National Railway Group, Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province, and the Development and Reform Office of China National Railway Group has sent a letter to the Railway Office of the Basic Department of the National Development and Reform Commission. The preliminary work of the engineering feasibility study has basically been completed.

The starting point of the actual new part of the Tongsujiayong Railway is Zhangjiagang. It is expected that the construction of the Suzhou pilot section will start around October 2022, and the Zhejiang section and the cross-sea bridge will be fully started after 2023. The project starts from Nantong, crosses Hangzhou Bay after passing through Suzhou and Jiaxing City, and is introduced into Ningbo Hub through Hangzhou Bay New Area. The mileage of the new line is about 300 kilometers, of which about 165 kilometers are in Zhejiang Province, and the Hangzhou Bay Bridge is about 6.46 kilometers long.

The Zhenjiang-Maanshan section of the Nanjing-Maanshan Railway from Yangzhou via Zhenjiang: The Zhenjiang-Maanshan section of the Yangzhou-Ningxia-Maanshan Railway is a project that is striving to start construction in 2022. The Anhui section of the Zhenjiang-Maanshan section had its first EIA announcement at the end of last year, and it is planned to start construction in September 2022. Approval is available. The preliminary design is approved in October, the construction drawing design of the entire line or the first section is approved in November, and the construction is expected to start in December.

The line starts from Ma'anshan City in the west, passes through Nanjing Lukou Airport, and ends in Zhenjiang City in the east. The main line is 121 kilometers long, with an estimated investment of about 24 billion yuan. The length of the main line from Zhenjiang to Ma'anshan is about 120.6 kilometers, of which 97.2 kilometers are in Jiangsu Province and 23.4 kilometers are in Anhui Province. The whole line has Zhenjiang East (Dantu), Danyang West, Jurong, Lukou Airport, Bowang North and Ma'anshan South six. station.

Ningwu Railway Capacity Expansion Project: The Ningwu Railway Capacity Expansion Project will be partially started at the end of 2021, and the whole line will be started in 2022. The estimated total investment is 9.86 billion yuan, and the construction period is planned to be 4.5 years.

The Ningwu Railway starts from Nanjing East Station, passes through Cangbomen, Guxiong, Jiangning Town and Tongjing in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, enters Maanshan City, Anhui Province, and enters Wuhu City through Dangtu County. The line is electrified. After the renovation, the line has a total length of 102.164 kilometers. There are 10 stations on the whole line, including Zijin Mountain, Cangbomen, Shuanglong Street, Guli, Guxiong, and Jiangning Zhennan. The construction period is planned to be 4.5 years, and the controlling project is the Nanjing South Tunnel.

The Jiangsu section of the Yancheng-Taizhou-Wuxi-Changzhou-Yixing-Huzhou Railway: The feasibility study report for the section from Jiangyin Station to Huishan Station of the Yancheng-Taizhou-Changzhou-Yi Railway has been approved, and the first section of Yixing has been cancelled. The section from Jiangyin Station to Huishan Station is an important part of the Yantaixi-Changyi Railway. The project starts from the north of Jiangyin Station of the Jiangyin Intercity Railway under construction in southern Jiangsu, passes through Yuecheng Town in Jiangyin City, Huishan District in Wuxi City, and ends at the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway. Railway Huishan Station, with a total length of about 33 kilometers, an estimated investment of 10.926 billion yuan, and a construction period of 6 years.

Suqian-Hefei Railway Jiangsu Section: Hexin High-speed Railway Jiangsu Section is divided into Hesu High-speed Railway Sixian-Suqian Section and Suqian-Weifang High-speed Railway Suqian-Xinyi Section. The latter is an important part of Beijing-Shanghai Second Corridor and will open in 2021. The first environmental impact assessment announcement was launched in July, and the former also conducted its first environmental impact assessment in September. Preliminary work on both projects is in progress.

The Suqian-Sixian section of the Hefei-Suqian high-speed railway project starts from Suqian City, Jiangsu Province in the north, passes through Suqian and Sihong in the south, and ends at the border of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. The total length of the line is 44.8km. There is one station on the whole line, which is Sihong North Station. The project is a high-speed railway with a design speed target value of 350km/h.

Zhejiang section of Shanghai via Zhapu-Hangzhou Railway: The main persons in charge of the transportation departments of the three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta region held a video conference, and jointly reviewed and approved the "Yangtze River Delta Inter-provincial and Municipal Transportation Infrastructure Express Link Construction Implementation Cooperation Agreement (2022-2025") )", and thoroughly implement the Yangtze River Delta regional integration development strategy. The Shanghai-Zha-Hang-Zhejiang section is officially included in the project to start construction in 2022, and construction will start in 2022.

The Shanghai-Zhuhai-Hangzhou Railway is a new round of railway construction covering Shanghai and Zhejiang provinces centered on Shanghai (Shanghai), Jiaxing Port Area (Zha), and Hangzhou (Hangzhou). The Hu-Zha-Hang Railway starts from Shanghai East Railway Station in the east, Hangzhou West Railway Station in the west, and Zhapu Railway Station in Jiaxing Port Area as the intermediate station, with a total length of 192 kilometers and 80 kilometers in Zhejiang. The total investment is 12 billion yuan.

Shanghai Demonstration Area Line of Shanghai-Sujia Line and Zhejiang Jiashan-Xitang Line: At present, the special plan for line selection of Shanghai Demonstration Area Line has been announced on January 11, 2022, and construction will start in the first half of 2022. The Shanghai Demonstration Area Line is a municipal railway connecting the main city area of Hongqiao and the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integration Demonstration Area, with a total investment of 9.01 billion yuan. The line starts from the main city area of Hongqiao in the east, reaches the living room of the water town in the west, passes through Minhang and Qingpu districts, and connects with the planned water town tourism line in Jiangsu Province and the planned Jiashan-Xitang line in Zhejiang Province.
