On May 12, according to Kyrgyzstan Airport Joint Stock Company, the new Jalalabad International Airport will be built in Suzak District, Jalalabad Oblast.

The construction of a new international airport in the Jalalabad region by China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. (CSCEC 5B) is a formal agreement signed by Tilek Tekebaev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan, and Liu Dong, General Manager of China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd.

The Governor of Jalalabad noted that the new airport is not only an expansion of the transportation network, but also a symbol of deepening economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China. The construction of the new airport will enhance trade and tourism, and provide more efficient and convenient travel services for local residents and international travelers. In addition, the implementation of the project will promote logistics and provide a solid foundation for business relations between Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia and the wider region.

The airport will cover an area of 381 hectares and it is planned to build a two-story passenger terminal with a total area of 10,000 square meters. When completed, the airport will have a throughput capacity of more than 350 passengers per hour, ensuring improved passenger comfort and airport service quality.

In addition, the new airport infrastructure meets international standards: a 3,800-meter-long runway, two taxiways and six parking stands will be built. It can take off and land Boeing 737, Airbus A320/A321, as well as Il-76, Airbus A330, Boeing 767-300 and other passenger and cargo aircraft.

The project is an important part of President Zhaparov's strategy for the development of Kyrgyzstan's aviation industry, which will significantly increase the air transport capacity of the southern region of the country and contribute to regional economic development.

With the construction of Jalalabad International Airport, Kyrgyzstan's aviation industry is moving to a new level. The project will not only strengthen the region's ties with international markets, but will also drive regional economic growth and inject vitality into future development. At the same time, the construction of the new airport also demonstrates the far-reaching significance of Kyrgyzstan-China cooperation and becomes a model of mutual benefit and win-win results between the two countries.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
