On March 18, 2022, an ultra-thin lithium battery copper foil project with an annual output of 100,000 tons in Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jiangxi Province officially started construction. This marks the development of the two leading industries of new energy vehicles, power batteries and electronic information in the area. It will inject strong development momentum into the Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone to create a new energy vehicle and power battery industry cluster of 100 billion yuan. The district coordinates the epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and it is a vivid practice of grasping and correcting both.

It is reported that on January 20, 2022, Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone and Tongling Huachuangxin Materials Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the production project of ultra-thin lithium battery copper foil with an annual output of 100,000 tons. The total investment of the project is 10 billion yuan. It only took 2 months to officially sign the contract. From the signing of the project to the start of construction, the speed of economic development has been refreshed, and the approval mode of land acquisition and construction start is implemented. After the project is completed, it is expected to create about 3,000 new social jobs.

Huachuang New Materials has successively entered the supply system of leading power battery manufacturers such as CATL, BYD, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, and Yiwei Lithium Energy. The Huachuang lithium battery copper foil industry project settled in Jingkai will cooperate with Xinwangda and Jiangling New Energy in the region. Complementary advantages and joint development of other enterprises will further enhance the development level of the new energy vehicle and power battery industry in the Economic and Technological Development Zone, and improve the upstream and downstream industrial chain supporting of the power battery industry.
