With the continuous acceleration of urbanization, the limit of urban carrying capacity is constantly being tested. In response to urban development issues, the "Beijing Major Infrastructure Development Plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") was recently released.
The "Planning" proposes that by 2025, the layout of Beijing's infrastructure network will be more complete, the level of green, intensive and intelligent refinement will continue to improve, the quality of the city will be steadily improved, the needs of the people will be better met, and a world-class urban agglomeration with the capital as the core The backbone structure has basically been formed, and great progress has been made in the construction of a world-class harmonious and livable city. The reduction in energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of regional GDP has reached the national requirements, carbon emissions have been stable with some decline, and solid steps have been taken towards carbon neutrality.
By 2035, Beijing's infrastructure development mode will fundamentally change, take the lead in building a modern infrastructure system with global competitiveness, promote the basic formation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei world-class urban agglomeration structure, and make significant progress in the construction of a safe and resilient infrastructure system. An ecological city with blue sky, clear water and forests will be basically built, which will promote the fundamental improvement of the ecological environment and better meet the needs of citizens.
In terms of promoting green, low-carbon and circular development, the "Plan" requires that the concept of green development should be firmly established, and carbon emissions should be stabilized and reduced and the promotion of carbon neutrality should be the starting point. Promote emission reduction and carbon reduction in the infrastructure sector, and help build a green Beijing. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the city's GDP per unit area will drop to less than 10 cubic meters per 10,000 yuan, and the water resources conservation will reach the world's advanced level; the total energy consumption will be controlled at about 80.5 million tons of standard coal, and the total carbon dioxide emissions will take the lead. After reaching the peak, there is a steady decline. Editor / Xu Shengpeng
