Kazakhstan Investment Corporation and Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. of China recently signed a cooperation agreement to build three modern waste incineration power plants in the country, with a total investment of 600 million US dollars. The project will adopt international advanced technology to achieve integrated operation of waste treatment and clean energy production. The project will be accompanied by the construction of a green data center and an intelligent waste management system, forming a complete industrial chain of "waste treatment energy recovery digital management". Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. in China will provide core technologies with over 400 patents, including advanced processes such as efficient incineration, waste gas treatment, and energy conversion.

The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has stated that it will provide comprehensive policy support for the project. Azamat Kozanov, the general manager of the investment company in the country, emphasized that the project is in line with the energy transformation strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and will effectively increase the proportion of renewable energy, helping to achieve carbon reduction goals.

Dai Daoguo, Chairman of Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. in China, pointed out that after the completion of the project, the annual waste treatment capacity will exceed 1 million tons, and the annual power generation is expected to reach 800 million kWh. This will not only improve the urban environment in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also create a large number of job opportunities and drive the development of related industries. The project plan will be implemented in two phases: the first phase will build two waste incineration power plants, which are expected to be put into operation in 2026; The construction of the third power plant and supporting data center in Phase II is expected to be completed by 2028.

The Republic of Kazakhstan is actively promoting the transformation of its energy structure and plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 15% by 2030. This cooperation is another important layout of Chinese environmental protection enterprises in Central Asia. Previously, Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. has successfully implemented similar projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
