On the afternoon of July 12, 2022, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to the Urumqi International Dry Port Area to view the functional areas of the China Railway Express (Urumqi) Assembly Center and the on-site operations at the Alashankou Port and Horgos Port through real-time images. Up to now, more than 5,900 China-Europe trains have been operated in the international dry port area. The goods carried have expanded from the initial daily necessities and clothing products to more than 200 categories such as machinery and equipment, plumbing and building materials, and 21 train lines have been opened, reaching 19 countries and regions and 26 cities in Europe and Asia.
