On September 14, 2022, the construction of the fifth batch of major projects in Guangyuan City in 2022 and the commencement ceremony of the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway expansion Hanguang section project were held in Longtan Township, Lizhou District. According to reports, 150 major projects have been started this time with a total investment of 44.84 billion yuan.

Beijing-Kunming Expressway Hanzhong-Guangyuan Section Expansion Project

The main venue for this concentrated start of construction is located in Baifo Village, Longtan Township, which is one of the early start points of the expansion project of the Hanzhong-Guangyuan section (Sichuan border) of the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway.

G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway Hanzhong-Guangyuan Section (Sichuan border) expansion project route starts from the iron lock pass on the south side of Maobahe Town, Hanzhong City, and connects to the planned expansion stop of the Shaanxi Section of Jingkun Expressway in the Caijiaping Tunnel. Passing through Yanhe Town, Tianxing Town, Yanzi Township, Wangcang County, Guangyuan City, Yuanba Town, Zhaohua District, Rongshan Town, Dashi Town, Lizhou District, ending at Zhoujiahe, Longtan Township, and connecting to the planned G5 Jingkun expansion Guangmian section starting point. The total length of the project route is about 70 kilometers. There are 7 interchanges, 2 service areas, 1 parking area and 2 maintenance work areas. The two-way six-lane road has a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The approved total investment is 26.677 billion yuan, and the construction period is 4 year.

The expansion project of the Hanzhong-Guangyuan section (Sichuan border) and Guangyuan-Mianyang section of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway is another important channel connecting the Chengmian Expressway double-track and the Guangyuan-Shaanxi Hanzhong section expressway. Express corridor in North China and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. After completion, the traffic capacity and service level of the national expressway will be greatly improved, and the traffic pressure of the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway will be effectively relieved.

The major projects started this time involve infrastructure, industrial development, people's livelihood and social undertakings, real estate and other fields. In terms of infrastructure, there are 41 projects including the expansion of the Sichuan-Shaanxi-Guangyuan section of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway, with a total investment of 34.343 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 2.534 billion yuan. In terms of industrial development, there are 71 projects including Chaotian District Hangjia Green Building Materials Production Base, with a total investment of 7.638 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 2.803 billion yuan. In terms of people's livelihood and social undertakings, there are 35 projects including Cangxi County Jiangnan Junior High School, with a total investment of 2.364 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 760 million yuan.
