On the morning of March 28, 2026, in the Xianning International Land Port Logistics Park, with the roar of construction machinery, the new Xianning Railway Logistics Base project officially started construction. This key location, covering an area of 779 acres and with an investment of 678 million yuan, has brought Xianning one step closer to its goal of becoming an important node in the logistics network of the Wuhan metropolitan area. The newly-built Xianning Railway Logistics Base, as a secondary railway logistics base planned by China Railway Group, is a core sub project of Xianning International Land Port Logistics Park. It covers a total area of 779 acres and plans to invest 678 million yuan to connect with Henggouqiao Station on the Beijing Guangzhou Railway. The project will construct 3 arrival departure lines and reserve 2 for the future. The designed annual freight volume is 1.81 million tons in the initial stage, 2.5 million tons in the near future, and 3.43 million tons in the long term. The project construction period is one year, and after completion, it will be built into a modern railway logistics hub integrating cargo transfer, warehousing and distribution, circulation and processing, and bonded services.
