[Chinese Enterprise-aided Niue Ring Road Project Starts] A few days ago, the China-aided Niue Ring Road Upgrade Project undertaken by China Railway First Bureau held a grand groundbreaking ceremony. The aid to upgrade the road around the island in Niue is an important measure to implement the infrastructure cooperation plan in the China-Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum, and it is also the first foreign aid project constructed by China Railway First Bureau in New Zealand. The project is about 46 kilometers long, covering the north-south traffic arteries of Alofi, the capital of Niue, and connecting important areas such as the Niue government office area, docks, airports, hospitals, and schools. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the traffic and safety conditions of Niue, provide convenience for residents to travel, and positively promote the economic development and social life of the island.
