The consortium formed by Changjiang Survey, Planning, Design and Research Co., Ltd. won the bid, with a bidding price of 3.23 billion yuan.

Zaodu Reservoir is a Type II (2) project. The normal storage level of the reservoir is 375m, the design flood level is 376m, the check flood level is 377.88m, the high flood level is 376m, the flood control limit water level is 366.8m, and the stagnant water level is 342m. The total storage capacity of the reservoir is 201 million m3, the corresponding storage capacity of the normal water storage level is 183 million m3, the adjustment storage capacity is 135 million m3, the dead storage capacity is 48 million m3, and the flood control storage capacity is 50 million m3. The generating capacity is 45.44 million kW.h, and the installed utilization hours are 3786h.
The Zaodu Reservoir Project consists of a reservoir pivot project and a water delivery project
The reservoir pivot project is mainly composed of a concrete face rockfill dam, a spillway on the right bank, a water diversion power generation tunnel on the left bank, and a water diversion powerhouse behind the dam. Dams are level 1, other major buildings are level 2, and minor buildings are level 3. The reasonable service life of main buildings is 100 years, and that of secondary buildings is 50 years. The water delivery project includes the water intake and the main water delivery canal, and the main water delivery canal includes three parts: the main canal, the left main canal and the right main canal. The starting point of the main canal is Nanping Village, and the end point is Renliuchang, Banan District. The total length of the line is 54.38km. The water diversion at the end of the main canal ends at Ganjiawan, Banan District. The right main canal is 13.82km long, and the total length of the main water delivery canal is 94.24km, including 18 tunnels, 10 inverted siphons, 5 box culverts, 4 sections of pipelines and 2 pools , the total length of 18 tunnels is 75.65km, the total length of 10 inverted siphons is 7.02km, the total length of 5 box culverts is 3.79km, the total length of 4 pipelines is 7.76km, and the total length of 2 pools is 16m.
