[Two Swedish offshore wind projects approved]Recently, Vattenfall's Kattegat Syd offshore wind farm and OX2's Galatea-Galene offshore wind farm in the Galene area have been approved by the Swedish government. The Galatea-Galene offshore wind power project is located about 25 kilometers from the coast of Halland. It is developed by OX2 and Ingka Investments. It has a total installed capacity of 1.7 GW and plans to install up to 101 wind turbines. It is a "zero subsidy" offshore wind farm. The project is divided into two areas: the Galatea site is located 25 kilometers away from the city of Falkenberg, with an installed capacity of 400 MW and 21 wind turbines to be installed. The Galene site is located in waters approximately 25 kilometers from the city of Varberg. OX2 previously submitted a license application and a Natura 2000 application for the Galatea-Galene Offshore Wind Farm to the Halland County Executive Board. In January 2023, the project received approval from the Halland County Executive Board to allow construction. The Kattegatt Syd (Kattegat South) offshore wind farm, developed by Vattenfall, is located in Kattegat, off the coast of County Halland, 25 kilometers from Falkenberg. The project has an installed capacity of 1.2 GW and consists of 80 wind turbines. It is estimated that the annual power generation will be about 4.7 TWh, which is equivalent to 2.5%-3% of Sweden's current total power generation. Vattenfall submitted a permit application to the Halland County Executive Board in 2021 and was granted a permit in October 2022. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
As of the end of May 2026, the total length of 220 kV and above transmission lines in Xinjiang power grid has exceeded 50000 kilometers, forming a backbone network of ultra-high voltage AC/DC hybrid connection and coordinated internal supply and external transmission. Xinjiang Power Grid has built 39 750 kV substations with a total length of 14800 kilometers, 1113.92 kilometers of 800 kV and above ultra-high voltage transmission lines, and 182 220 kV substations, forming a modern power supply network that promotes mutual assistance between the north and south, east-west communication, safety and reliability, and flexible allocation.Editor/Gong Ziwei
The Wuhan Institute of Technology laboratory has successfully produced tens of thousands of meters of large fiber bundles of carbon fibers, and China has achieved mass production of T1000 and above high-performance carbon fibers. This material has extremely high strength and has long been blocked by foreign technology. Zhongfu Shenying is the world's first enterprise to achieve mass production of 100 tons of T1200 grade carbon fiber, and China has completed decades of industrialization process abroad in a short period of time. The breakthrough in high-performance carbon fiber is not only a significant achievement in the field of new materials, but will also reshape the trillion dollar global supply chain.Editor/Gong Ziwei
