On July 13, 2023, the commencement ceremony of the Shouguang section of the Tianjin Weifang high-speed railway was held at the Shouguang East Station in front of the Tianjin Weifang high-speed railway.

The BWZH-2 bid section of the new Tianjin Weihai high-speed railway project is located in Dongying Guangrao County and Shouguang, Weifang. The total length of the bid section is 36.218km, of which the Shouguang section is 29.73km long, passing through 6 towns and streets. The planned completion and opening date is October 31, 2027. Shouguang East Station is located in the northeast of the intersection of Yangtian Road and Shouji Road, about 15 kilometers away from the Ghetto of Shouguang City.

The design scheme of Shouguang East Station reflects the characteristics of Shouguang and incorporates vegetable elements. The station building has a scale of 15000 square meters and the station has a scale of 2 units and 4 lines. The streamline adopts a top in and bottom out mode, with an elevated lane platform for passengers to drop off and enter the station through passenger overpasses and tunnels.

Tianjin Weihai High speed Railway is located in the Bohai Rim area of Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong provinces and one city. The line starts from Binhai railway station in Tianjin in the north and ends at Weifang North railway station of Jinan Qingdao High speed Railway in the south, with a total length of about 348.9 kilometers. There are 10 stations in Binhai, Binhai East, Binhai South, Huanghua North, Haixing West, Wudi, Binzhou, Dongying South, Shouguang East and Weifang North.

As a major landmark project for the construction of the demonstration area in Shandong Province, after the completion and opening of the Tianjin Weihai high-speed railway, it will not only completely end the history of Shouguang's lack of high-speed railway, fill the gap in the development of high-speed railway in northern Shandong, and connect with the Jinan Qingdao high-speed railway at Weifang North railway station. From Qingdao to Beijing and Tianjin, it is no longer necessary to bypass Jinan. The intersection and straightening of the traffic lines will enable Qingdao to integrate into the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region at a faster speed. Editor/Xie Li
