Recently, two projects, namely, road restoration (PK10-PK40) and stadium phase II in Bukavu, DRC, were inaugurated. About 2000 people, including Alexis Gizarro, Minister of State and Minister of Infrastructure of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Amy Boji Sangala, Minister of State and Minister of Budget of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Theo Nwabij, Governor of South Kivu Province, Pang Long, General Manager of China Congo Infrastructure, representatives of the project preparation team, local communities and the masses, attended the commencement ceremony.

At the commencement ceremony, the owner, on behalf of the DRC National Engineering Bureau, first introduced the basic situation of the two projects in Bukavu region, fully affirmed the progress of the infrastructure project package in China and Congo and the previous achievements, and said that he would earnestly perform his duties and responsibilities, coordinate the communication between all parties to the contract, and ensure the orderly progress of the follow-up infrastructure projects in the region.

Pang Long, General Manager of Zhonggang Infrastructure, subsequently delivered a speech. He reviewed the fruitful achievements of the China Congo package of infrastructure projects and stated that he will closely cooperate with the owner's representative, the National Engineering Bureau, to complete the engineering tasks of the China Congo package of infrastructure projects with high quality, build a beautiful home for the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and continue the beautiful China Congo friendship.

In his speech, the Governor of South Kivu Province introduced the travel difficulties of local residents due to the dangerous road conditions of Bukavu Nyang Ngez Carmagnola Road, expressed the ardent expectations of local residents for the project, and hoped that with the strong cooperation and support of the provincial government, all parties to the contract would actively promote and organize the project construction. At the same time, he also affirmed the contribution made by the construction party to the government and local people in Bukavu over the years, and hoped that the people around the project and the village community would give more convenience and help to the construction company in the future.

Finally, the Minister of Infrastructure delivered a speech. He expressed that the Congo government attaches great importance to the package of infrastructure projects and highly evaluates the China Congo package of infrastructure projects. He particularly praised the construction party for solving employment problems for the local government, providing a large number of job positions for the local people, treating local labor well, and setting a good example. He hoped that the two projects would create another brilliant future under the coordination of the China Congo infrastructure organization, and write a new chapter of the era for China Congo.

Project Overview

Both the Bukavu Road Rehabilitation Project and the Bukavu Stadium Phase II Project are located in South Kivu Province. The existing roads in Bukavu Nyang Ngez Carmagnola are muddy and pitted everywhere, seriously affecting the travel of local residents and restricting local economic development. The total investment of the project is 31.12 million US dollars. After completion, it will effectively improve the local traffic conditions, solve the Hard problem of consciousness of residents' travel, and have great significance in promoting the local people's livelihood and economy. In addition, there is no modern stadium in Bukavu at present, and local residents can only carry out sports events on the soil, which is also a difficult problem for the local government.

The total investment of Bukavu Stadium Phase II Project is US $3.65 million. After completion, it will greatly improve the sports environment of local residents, promote the development of local sports and enrich the cultural life of residents.
