In October 2023, China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation Sinosure issued the 2022 version of the country's first export buyer's credit insurance policy for the Dostyk 50-MW wind power project in Kazakhstan, which was constructed by Sunshine New Energy Development Co., Ltd. This innovative measure made full use of the support policies for domestic credit entities, new energy industries and small and beautiful projects, helping the company successfully obtain a medium and long-term loan with a term of 9 years and an amount of approximately 250 million yuan.
The successful implementation of this project not only marks the further improvement of Sinosure’s ability to provide high-level services for the Belt and Road Initiative, but also demonstrates Sinosure’s positive role in using policy financial instruments to promote international cooperation and promote common development.

The Dostyk 50-MW wind power project in Kazakhstan is scheduled to be connected to the grid to generate electricity by the end of 2023, which will greatly alleviate the power shortage in southeastern Kazakhstan. This project has created more than 100 jobs, trained a group of technical personnel, and effectively improved the living standards of local residents.
Under the framework of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative, the cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the field of new energy has become a vivid microcosm of the economic cooperation between the two countries. This successful cooperation model heralds huge potential for future cooperation between the two countries in sustainable development and green energy transformation. Sinosure will continue to play its policy role and continue to increase resource investment to help Chinese companies achieve long-term development in more countries along the Belt and Road and in a wider range of fields.
