With the continuous development and integration of the global economy, the cross-border investment cooperation between China and the Middle East has become increasingly close. In order to further promote the cooperation between the two sides in the field of investment, the 2023 Financial Street Forum annual meeting was recently held in Beijing. The event attracted extensive attention from domestic and foreign investors and economists, including a parallel forum on the theme of China-Middle East cross-border investment industry cooperation and sustainable development, which attracted the active participation of many domestic and foreign investors and economists. Hazem Ben-Gacem, co-CEO of Enwei Capital from the Middle East, delivered an important speech at the forum, saying that there are huge business opportunities lurking in the Chinese market, and spoke highly of the implementation results of the Belt and Road Initiative in the Middle East.

Nwei Capital is the oldest and largest non-government private equity fund in the Middle East, dedicated to providing professional financial and investment advisory services to investors and companies in the Middle East. Hazem Ben-Gacem stressed that the development prospects of the Chinese market are full of expectations, especially with the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, cross-border investment cooperation in the Middle East has become closer and more important. He pointed out that investors in the Middle East greatly appreciate and respect the mutually beneficial and win-win principle upheld by the Belt and Road Initiative, which has brought new opportunities and challenges to the economic development of the Middle East region.

In his speech, Hazem Ben-Gacem also discussed Enway Capital's investment strategy and objectives in the Middle East region. He said that Enwei Capital will continue to pay attention to and support cross-border investment cooperation between China and the Middle East, and promote the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the field of sustainable development. At the same time, he also called on more investors and entrepreneurs to actively participate in the development of the Chinese market and jointly promote economic cooperation and exchanges between China and the Middle East.

In conclusion, the parallel forum of the 2023 Financial Street Forum Annual Meeting provides an important platform for promoting cross-border investment cooperation and sustainable development between China and the Middle East region. Hazem Ben-Gacem's speech fully demonstrated the confidence and enthusiasm of investors in the Middle East for the Chinese market and their high recognition of the Belt and Road Initiative. In the future, we have reason to believe that the economic cooperation between China and the Middle East will continue to move to a new height. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
