"Tongzhou Global Development Forum" is an international forum focusing on global development, security and civilization issues, aiming to provide a platform for exchange and cooperation for governments, enterprises and academia. The first forum was held in Tongzhou District, Beijing, from November 18th to 19th. It was hosted by Renmin University of China and co-organized by Renmin University of China and the Tongzhou District People's Government. It had the theme of "jointly promoting global development and building a common future". The forum invited more than 400 guests from more than 30 countries around the world to discuss how to respond to global challenges, promote global development, ensure global security, and promote global civilization. During the two-day forum, participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on a series of important issues, shared experiences, opinions and solutions, and contributed wisdom and strength to promote global development.

During the forum, the reporter conducted an exclusive interview with former Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase. Adrian Nastase said that the meeting between the heads of state of China and the United States in San Francisco has far-reaching historical significance. At the same time, he emphasized that the Belt and Road Initiative is the greatest project of this century and firmly believes that the initiative will achieve greater achievements in the next decade.
