On January 8, 2023, State Energy Group Fujian Quanzhou Company received a notice from the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission regarding the third phase 2 of State Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Co., Ltd × The approval document for the 660 MW expansion project marks a breakthrough in the preliminary work of the project.

The project is located on the north side of Kecuo Village, Nanpu Town, Quangang District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Two 660 MW ultra supercritical coal-fired power generation units will be constructed, and ultra-low emission environmental protection facilities such as desulfurization, denitrification, and dust removal will be constructed simultaneously. The main engine and its thermal system will be optimized, and the indicators will be better than those of domestic units of the same type and capacity. The project fully utilizes the advantages of being located in the Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, a national petrochemical base, to deepen the comprehensive energy supply plan based on heating, create an integrated environmental island, and achieve the goal of efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly energy supply.

After completion, it will meet the development needs of the southern load center in Fujian Province, provide reliable power support for the safe and stable operation of the power grid, and effectively promote regional socio-economic coordinated development. Editor/Zhao E
