With the continuous expansion of the global aviation market and the rapid development of technology, the cooperation between China and Airbus has become an important force to promote the development of the aviation industry. From drawing to production, from flying into the blue sky to decommissioning, an Airbus aircraft has completed its "journey of life" in China. Nearly 40 years after the introduction of the first Airbus aircraft in China, the Chinese aviation industry has established a close cooperative relationship with Toulouse, France-based Airbus. China not only provides a broad market and stable supply chain for Airbus, but also helps it supply the world through China and promotes the development of the global aviation industry.
Airbus continues to deepen its presence in China, with the construction of two production lines at the Tianjin Final Assembly Line, a key link in its global industrial strategy. Juan Tuvio said: "More than 660 A320 family aircraft have completed final assembly in Tianjin, and we are very pleased with the facilities, ecosystem and Chinese partners and suppliers here."
Xu Gang, CEO of Airbus China, said Airbus set up a civilian aircraft production line outside Europe in Tianjin in 2008 to be closer to Chinese customers. In order to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency, Airbus has accelerated the localization layout of its supply chain and promoted the wide application of "Chinese elements" on Airbus aircraft.
Today, Airbus has built a local supply chain ecosystem, from small brackets, corner pieces, to fuselage barrels, wings and other components, Airbus aircraft on the "Chinese elements" more and more. China Aviation West Flight, Chengdu Civil Aircraft, Shenyang Civil Aircraft, Hafei Airbus and other enterprises have become important suppliers of different Airbus models, providing key components such as wings, doors, fuselages and rudders. In addition, many Chinese private enterprises have joined Airbus' global supply chain to provide products to Airbus.
Airbus also encourages international suppliers to cooperate with Chinese enterprises to promote foreign investment in the aviation sector in China. Companies such as Prameter Airlines, GKN Aerospace and Kemetall have invested in factories in China to produce parts for Airbus. In 2020, the value of Airbus' cooperation with Chinese industry will reach about $1 billion.
With the deepening of cooperation, Airbus's development in China will also continue to accelerate. "We will continue to deepen our cooperation and jointly promote the development of the aviation industry," said Xu Gang, CEO of Airbus China. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
