In the past 10 years, under the strong leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and Government, the people of Gansu have lived up to their heavy responsibilities and courageously advanced, writing a brilliant chapter belonging to Gansu in the construction of the Belt and Road. Looking ahead to 2024, Gansu will comprehensively promote the eight actions of high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road supported by China, committed to building an open platform, strengthening the foreign trade industry, promoting civil exchanges, and strengthening international sister city cooperation. Through these efforts, Gansu, as an important channel, will radiate more vigorous development vitality and potential.

As an important node of the Silk Road Economic Belt, in the past decade, Gansu has made efforts in channel logistics, economic and trade cooperation, cultural tourism, green energy, and other aspects, issued plans to integrate into the Belt and Road construction in the new era, formulated supporting implementation plans, and transformed the "greatest opportunity" into tangible development achievements.

Since the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative ten years ago, the role of Gansu as a gateway has become increasingly prominent. We have established a three-dimensional open channel network covering more than 20 countries and regions in Europe and Asia, including Central Europe, Central Asia, South Asia, the "Western Land Sea New Corridor", and the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Railway, opening up a new development situation in Gansu Province with smooth transportation of goods and rivers.

Based on channel advantages, build a cooperation platform. Over the past decade, open platforms such as international land ports and airports, Lanzhou New Area Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and National Cross border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone have become increasingly perfect, and the scale of trade with countries along the Belt and Road has continued to expand.

The Belt and Road Initiative is a path of economic prosperity and green development. At present, Gansu has initially formed a complete new energy equipment manufacturing industry chain system, continuously enhancing technological cooperation and exchanges with Belt and Road countries in the field of new energy.

The export and implementation of products and technical solutions with energy storage functions, such as solar mobile power sources, solar water pumps, and solar integrated street lights, provide the "Gansu Plan" for jointly building green and low-carbon development in Belt and Road countries.

Cultural integration and mutual understanding among the people. Gansu relies on the Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo to build a bridge for integration and mutual learning with countries along the Belt and Road. At present, six sessions of the Cultural Expo have been successfully held, and a series of activities such as tourism, publicity, promotion, and investment promotion have been held with 24 countries and regions, achieving fruitful results and attracting worldwide attention.

In order to promote Dunhuang cultural research services and jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative, Gansu has conducted extensive cooperation and exchanges in cultural relic protection, cultural inheritance, digital technology, talent cultivation, and other areas; To build a model for protecting world cultural heritage and a highland for Dunhuang studies with an international perspective, and continuously promote the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional culture.

In the vibrant years, we must maintain a high fighting spirit and move forward courageously.
