On January 30, 2024, the Ningxia Yunwushan 330 kV transmission and transformation project of State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Co., Ltd. was approved. This marks significant progress in strengthening the construction of power grid infrastructure and improving the ability of power supply guarantee in Ningxia.

Project Overview

The construction site of the new substation is located in Yuanzhou District, Guyuan City, with a planned land area of 4.2 hectares. The route passes through Yuanzhou District, Guyuan City. The total investment of the project is about 700 million yuan.

Construct a 330 kV substation in Yunwu Mountain and install two sets of 240000 kVA main transformers. In this phase, six 330 kV outgoing line intervals will be constructed, connecting two 750 kV substations in Liupanshan, two thermal power stations in Liupanshan, and two 330 kV substations in Qingshuihe.

The Liupanshan 750 kV substation will be expanded with one 330 kV outgoing line interval, utilizing the original 330 kV outgoing line interval to reach the Yunwushan 330 kV substation.

Newly built 330kV line from Yunwu Mountain to Liupanshan, with a length of 2 × 53 kilometers, erected using double circuit iron towers, with a conductor cross-section of 2 × 630 square millimeters.

New Liupanshan Thermal Power~Qingshui River π - to Yunwu Mountain 330kV Line, New Line 2 × 18.5+2 × 18.5 kilometers, erected using double circuit iron towers. The newly-built Qingshui River side conductor adopts 2 × 630 square millimeters, the Liupanshan thermoelectric side wire adopts 2 × 300 square millimeters.

Construct corresponding supporting reactive power compensation devices and secondary system engineering.

The construction of this project will help improve the reliability and stability of power supply in Ningxia power grid, meet the electricity demand of local economic and social development, and provide strong support for promoting energy transformation and clean energy development in Ningxia.
