In the context of global economic integration, the cooperation and exchanges among countries have become increasingly close. As an important bridge connecting the three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa, Namibia plays a pivotal role in promoting regional economic cooperation. In an interview with reporters, Sikongo Haihambo, Executive Director of Namibia's Ministry of Trade and Industry, pointed out that the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative has had a significant impact on the economic development of Namibia and even the whole of Africa. This initiative has become one of the key factors in promoting economic growth in Africa.
Haihambo said that the Belt and Road Initiative provides broad development opportunities for African countries through infrastructure construction, trade facilitation and production capacity cooperation. It has not only promoted trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, but also promoted the development of manufacturing, energy, agriculture and other fields. These initiatives help create jobs, improve people's living standards, and promote sustainable economic development.
Specifically, the Belt and Road Initiative has had an important impact on African economies in the following ways:
First, it promotes infrastructure construction. Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese companies have actively participated in Africa's infrastructure construction, including railways, roads, ports and Bridges. These projects have not only improved traffic conditions and logistics efficiency, but also laid a solid foundation for the economic development of African countries.
Second, it has boosted trade and investment. The Belt and Road Initiative has facilitated trade and investment flows by lowering tariff and non-tariff barriers. This has enabled African countries to expand export markets and increase foreign exchange earnings, while attracting more foreign investment and technology transfer.
In addition, it has enhanced the industrial competitiveness of African countries. The Belt and Road Initiative encourages China and other partner countries to strengthen production capacity cooperation and promote the upgrading and transformation of the manufacturing industry. This will help improve the production efficiency and product quality of African countries and enhance their competitiveness in the international market.
Haihambo stressed that the Belt and Road Initiative has not only brought tangible benefits to African countries, but also deepened the friendship and mutual trust between China and African countries. In the future, Namibia will continue to deepen cooperation with China in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, culture and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the African continent.
The Belt and Road Initiative has become one of the key factors in promoting Africa's economic development. It has brought new development opportunities and economic vitality to African countries through infrastructure construction, trade and investment promotion, and industrial cooperation. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, the Belt and Road will inject more new impetus into Africa's economic and social development. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
