Recently, the renovation project of ancient housing and old residential areas in the Binhai New Area of Jiangsu Province is underway, bringing a more livable living environment to the residents of Bincheng. According to the grand plan of urban renewal, this year the Binhai New Area will invest tremendous energy in comprehensively upgrading and renovating a total of 107 old residential areas, which are located in 14 streets and towns, fully demonstrating the government's determination and action to improve people's livelihoods.

In areas such as Xingang Street and Haibin Street, the focus of renovation is concentrated on the old family homes of Tianjin Port, Dagang Oilfield, and some petrochemical enterprises. These courtyards carry many people's memories, but over time, problems such as outdated facilities and poor environment gradually become apparent. The purpose of this renovation project is to revitalize these old family homes, allowing residents of Bincheng not only to live and work in peace, but also to enjoy a pleasant living environment.

At present, the 54 residential areas of the first phase of the project have fully started construction. In addition to conventional roof rainproof renovations, road surface repairs, and increasing activity space, this renovation pays more attention to the needs and opinions of residents. Residents have participated in the discussion of the renovation plan, and their opinions and suggestions have become an important basis for the renovation project. This approach not only makes residents feel the government's respect for public opinion, but also fills them with expectations for the renovated living environment.

It is expected that the first phase of the renovation project will be completed by June this year, and thousands of households will be able to enjoy a completely new living environment. The second phase of the project will also commence in July, bringing good news to more residents. After the overall completion, more than 60000 households will benefit, their living environment will be significantly improved, and their quality of life will be further enhanced.
