On the evening of March 28, 2024, during the highly anticipated Spring Festival Gala in the automotive industry, the Xiaomi Motors press conference arrived as scheduled, and Xiaomi's first product, the Xiaomi SU7, made a breakthrough debut. At the same time, the photovoltaic roof built by Longines has also attracted attention.

Automobiles are the king of industry, and sedans are a typical representative of the spirit of each era. The Xiaomi Automobile Factory is a green factory that has fully considered carbon emissions and the use of renewable energy since its construction. The integration of building photovoltaics has achieved an organic combination of building and photovoltaics, and is a typical work of the green energy era. As a leader in the field of building photovoltaics, Longesent has partnered with Shandong Heavy Industry and Taiyuan Iron and Steel Hot Rolling Plant to lay out a 16.2MW distributed photovoltaic power station on the roof of Xiaomi's car factory. This cooperation better meets the market demand for high-performance electric vehicles and jointly promotes the development of the new energy vehicle industry.

The initial design of Xiaomi's car factory was to install photovoltaic panels on the TPO roof through photovoltaic brackets. After sufficient argumentation, considering that the photovoltaic bracket passing through the roof will damage the roof structure of Xiaomi Automobile Factory, the secondary sealing of the bracket roof opening is prone to water leakage hazards, and the cold bridge caused by the bracket passing through the roof can also cause indoor condensation and dripping problems. Based on rich industry experience and a comprehensive risk assessment system, Longkeesen adopts BIPV installation method and lays TPO membrane in the middle for double-layer waterproofing, creating a model of roof waterproofing+photovoltaic industry.

Just like Longines BIPV, everything is just right while considering risk prediction, ensuring the high-quality power plant needs of customers, and also incorporating safety considerations such as waterproofing and leakage prevention. The selected roof products have undergone rigorous waterproof testing and possess properties such as leakage resistance, corrosion resistance, fire resistance, typhoon resistance, and attenuation resistance, ensuring a 25 year service life for both the roof and the photovoltaic system. After completion, it is expected that the average annual power generation will be 16.4 million kilowatt hours, with a total power generation of 41 million kilowatt hours in 25 years, injecting a continuous source of green electricity into the factory.

Xiaomi Motors has chosen a challenging path, focusing on tasks that are difficult but have long-term value. This coincides with Longi's insistence on a long-term philosophy, both of which are committed to long-term development. As outstanding representatives of new quality productivity, Xiaomi and Longines jointly adhere to a belief that new quality productivity is equivalent to green productivity. Hainan Boao, Xuzhou XCMG, Jianyi Marble, Dayang Shijia and many other green partners have also joined this ranks, working together to promote the vigorous development of the green energy industry and create a greener future for the world.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
