It was learned from the provincial Department of Transportation that this year, our province plans to complete the transportation infrastructure investment of 110 billion yuan, and the construction of major transportation projects in the province will accelerate. As of mid-March, the construction of all 14 sections of expressway projects had begun. Of the 40 highway projects opened to traffic or extended this year, 36 have been started. All 238 ordinary trunk highway maintenance projects have also been issued implementation plans. The provincial transportation system has pressed the "fast forward key" for project construction through a series of measures such as strengthening coordination services and organizing centralized service month activities.

On March 18, construction began on the second phase of the 12.5km Hebei section of the Beijing-Xiong Expressway, which will carry out competition in different themes to ensure that it is completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2025. After completion, the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway will be directly connected with Daxing Airport, which is of great significance for enhancing the transportation supply capacity of Daxing Airport and promoting the transportation integration of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

New projects are being implemented at a faster pace, and projects under construction are in full swing. Handang high-speed Hengshui section project relevant person in charge introduced that since the beginning of spring, the project has increased personnel and equipment investment, and will have the conditions for opening to traffic in October as planned. The project adopts a large number of new technologies and new equipment, takes intelligence as the starting point, and applies mobile high-precision measurement robots, unmanned fleets, and 3D paving automatic control system to the construction site to make the road surface more flat and the paving thickness more accurate.

As a provincial key construction project, the Hengshui section of Hangang Expressway starts from Dengjiazhuang, Taocheng District, and ends at Xiaoning Zhuang, Jingxian County, with a total length of about 63 kilometers. In order to ensure the construction progress, the builders do not stop work during holidays, and set off construction upsurge with labor competition. As of mid-March, the project with a total investment of 6.8 billion yuan has completed more than 97 percent of the investment. After opening to traffic, it will form an important channel for the central region of our province to go to sea and Shanxi coal to the east, and greatly enhance the radiation capacity of Huanghua Port to the mainland.
