Recently, the 16th Hydropower Bureau won the bid to build the transportation tunnel and ventilation and safety tunnel section of the Fujian Hua'an pumped storage power station. The preparatory phase of the project has officially started, marking a solid step in Hua'an County's development of green energy.

The Hua'an pumped storage power station project is located in Hua'an County, Zhangzhou City. It is a key implementation project of the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the country's "Pumped Storage Medium and Long-term Development Plan (2021-2035)" and a key focus of Fujian Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" energy development special plan. The construction project is also the first 10 billion yuan project to be launched since the establishment of Hua'an County. It is also an important support for promoting local green development. The total investment of the project is about 10 billion yuan.

The power station has a total installed capacity of 1.4 million kilowatts and is equipped with four 350,000-kilowatt reversible water pump turbine generator units. The hub project mainly consists of upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water transmission system, underground workshop and switch station and other buildings. After the completion of the power station, it is expected to The average annual power generation is 1.42 billion kilowatt-hours, which can save 755,000 tons of standard coal and reduce the emission of carbon dioxide gas by 2.069 million tons. It is of great significance to accelerate the economic and social development of Zhangzhou region and help achieve the national "double carbon" strategic goal.

The construction of the Hua'an pumped storage power station will directly drive the development of related industrial chains, create a large number of local job opportunities, increase residents' income, and promote the overall social and economic progress of the Hua'an region.
