On April 10, 2024, good news came from the construction of Baotou high-speed rail. After 570 minutes of continuous construction by more than 600 builders, the key supporting control project of Baotou high-speed rail: Baotou to Linhe Section station front Project 1 Standard Beijing Baotou special Uplink and Baotxi Uplink railway line diversion construction was successfully completed. The completion of the dial-up task of the two existing lines marked the official start of the project of introducing the Baotou high-speed rail to the Baotou Hub, and refreshed the "progress bar" of the construction of the Baotou high-speed rail project.

It is reported that the introduction of Baotou high-speed rail into Baotou hub project is divided into three dial-ups, the construction includes two dial-ups of Beijing Baoke Special uplink and Baoxi special uplink, the whole process adopts skylight point blockade construction, the original Beijing Baoke special uplink and Baoxi uplink two existing lines and the new line connection, providing favorable conditions for the introduction of Baotou high-speed rail main line into Baotou Hub. It is expected that the third dial will be completed by the end of June, when the Inner Mongolia section of Baotou high-speed Railway will be fully integrated into the national high-speed railway network, and the grass steel city Baotou will be more accessible to all parts of the country.

According to the person in charge of the Baoyin high-speed rail project of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau Group, who undertook the construction task, in order to successfully complete the dial-up task, the project organized experts to review the dial-up plan for many times, and successively invested more than 600 operators and more than 20 sets of machinery and equipment to overcome the difficulties of tight construction time, high safety risks, and multiple specialties. After two consecutive dial-up construction for a total of 570 minutes, the existing line was successfully moved 1293 meters, the large machine was tamped and stabilized 3,100 meters, the existing line was dismantled and the new line was replaced 2,400 meters, and the dial-up task was successfully completed.

Baotou to Yinchuan high-speed rail is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network Beijing-Lan channel, is the northwest region to connect the northeast, North China's transportation artery and economic channel, a total length of 518 kilometers, including Inner Mongolia section of 402 kilometers, the design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Baotou Station is the junction of Jingbao, Baolan, Jibao, Baoxi, Baoxi, Baobai and Baotou railway, and is an important passenger and cargo distribution station connecting the grassland steel city Baotou to the whole country.
