Indonesian Ambassador to China, Zhou Haoli, recently stated in an interview in Jakarta that the current relationship between Indonesia and China is very good, and the areas of cooperation between the two sides are broad and have huge potential. In the future, cooperation and exchanges between the two countries will continue to deepen.

Zhou Haoli first recalled his recent visit to Beijing with Indonesian President elect Prabowo. He said, "I think the current relationship between Indonesia and China is very good, and the development trend is good. We hope that the friendly relationship and policies between the two countries can continue to be maintained." He emphasized that China's current investment in Indonesia is huge, and China's investment is very important for Indonesia. In the future, the two governments will focus on comprehensive cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, mining, agriculture, forestry and fishery, digital economy, green economy, and health. Of course, there will also be the construction of Indonesia's new capital, Nushantara.

Zhou Haoli said, "In order to achieve the goal of carbon reduction, the Indonesian government is committed to building an electric vehicle ecosystem. We have successfully established partnerships in the field of electric vehicles with many Chinese car manufacturers such as SAIC Wuling, Chery, and BYD. Chinese made electric vehicles are warmly welcomed in the Indonesian market, and can even be seen frequently on the streets and alleys of Jakarta. Even my son chose to purchase a Chinese brand electric vehicle, which is enough to prove its popularity."

Zhou Haoli stated that Indonesia is not only committed to learning from China's experience in the construction of new energy ecosystems, but also hopes to achieve comprehensive poverty alleviation like China. He mentioned that the Indonesian government has organized village chiefs to visit China multiple times to learn about grassroots governance capabilities and rural economic construction experience, in order to help villagers overcome poverty. In addition, Zhou Haoli emphasized that civil exchanges between Indonesia and China are crucial. The cooperation in the field of education between the two countries is constantly deepening, and more and more Indonesian universities are establishing cooperative relationships with Chinese universities. At the same time, more and more Indonesian and Chinese university students are choosing to study in each other's countries, which further enhances cultural exchange and understanding between the two countries. In addition, the leaders of the two countries have repeatedly discussed cooperation in vocational education and training, with the aim of jointly cultivating more outstanding talents and promoting the in-depth development of bilateral relations.

Zhou Haoli pointed out that the interest of Chinese consumers in Indonesian products continues to rise. In addition to commodities, Indonesian products such as coffee, bird's nest, and fruits have also shown a steady growth trend in sales in China. I hold a very optimistic attitude towards China achieving its 5% economic growth target in 2024. There is still enormous potential for cooperation between the two sides to be explored. In order to continuously enhance cooperation in other fields, it is necessary to jointly create a peaceful and favorable environment. China is undoubtedly one of the most important partners and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in more fields. When discussing regional cooperation, Zhou Haoli stated that ASEAN countries, as developing countries, will continue to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly promote regional economic development and peace and stability. This cooperation not only helps to improve the overall well-being of the region, but also promotes mutual benefit and common development among countries. By deepening exchanges and cooperation in economic, political, and cultural fields, Indonesia and ASEAN countries will join hands with China to jointly create a more prosperous and stable future.
