On April 9th, the Bridge Engineering Branch of Yunnan Communications Investment & Construction Group Design Institute successfully signed the design contract for the Viaduct Project in the Thatluang Lake Economic Special Zone of Laos.
The project is located in the Thatluang Lake Economic Special Zone in Vientiane, Laos. It is built for the renovation of the existing Thatluang Avenue on the Luang Island. The main viaduct has a total length of 415 meters and a width of 18 meters. There are four ramps for going on and off the island, and each ramp has a width of 9 meters.
After the project is completed, it will become a major traffic artery running through the Thatluang Lake Economic Special Zone in Vientiane, Laos. It will help Vientiane build a new center for international trade, finance, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges, and promote China-Laos cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative to a new level.
This project is the first design project independently developed overseas by the Bridge Engineering Branch in recent years. It is an achievement of the company's firm implementation of the "Going Global" strategy of the group company and active implementation of the requirements of the three-year action plan for the economic development of the cross-border corridor. Next, taking the implementation of this project as a starting point, the Bridge Engineering Branch will continuously track projects in South Asia and Southeast Asia, actively participate in international market competition, and contribute to the high-quality development of the company.
