As the core investment, construction and operation platform of CITIC Environmental Investment Group in the field of ecological environment protection, CITIC Environmental Investment Group not only deeply participates in national and regional development strategies, but also actively responds to the the Belt and Road Initiative. While stabilizing the domestic market, the group fully utilizes the unique advantages of CITIC Group's integration of industry and finance, business diversification, and global layout, with Singapore as its overseas development base, actively expanding into the international market. In multiple countries such as Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, CITIC Environmental Investment Group has participated in and successfully implemented dozens of environmental protection projects, including iconic projects such as the KBM oilfield reinjection water project in Kazakhstan, and the Wenli and Medan water supply projects in Indonesia.

In order to further promote international cooperation in the field of ecological and environmental protection along the the Belt and Road, Yang Shuping, Chairman of CITIC Environment, led a team to Singapore and Malaysia in the middle and late March to carry out business exchanges with a number of local enterprises and overseas partners on deepening practical cooperation and provide guidance and support for the high-quality operation and development of local companies of CITIC Environment. Accompanied by Wang Song, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CITIC Environment.

During his stay in Malaysia, Yang Shuping and Yang Jianqiang, the General Manager of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., who was conducting work inspections in the local area, jointly visited the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing. Ouyang Yujing expressed gratitude to CITIC for its positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Malaysia. He welcomed CITIC Environment to leverage its product and service advantages in the green and low-carbon field, actively assist the Malaysian government in implementing green and low-carbon solutions, promote and promote China's green concepts, technologies, and standards to go global, and help the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia reach a new level. During his stay in Singapore, Yang Shuping visited Singaporean state-owned engineering company Suryu Group and held work talks with Chris Soeminjantoro, Investment Director of Indonesian state-owned capital operating company Danareksa, who is currently on a business visit to Singapore. Both sides will focus on in-depth exchanges on the ongoing KBN industrial park project and potential future cooperation opportunities.
