Recently, China Resources Power's Cangnan No. 1 offshore wind power's first energy storage project successfully passed acceptance and was connected to the grid to generate electricity.

In the onshore centralized control room of the Cangnan No. 1 offshore wind power project of China Resources Power, the staff stared at the data on the screen and paid close attention to the operation of the equipment. It is reported that the project is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system with an installed capacity of 24 megawatts. It has 2 subsystems and 7 energy storage units. The electrical energy that can be stored is equivalent to one hour of power plant with an installed capacity of 24,000 kilovolts. Power generation.

"As the first large-capacity energy storage project in Cangnan, China Resources Power Cangnan No. 1 offshore wind power supporting energy storage is connected to the grid and put into operation. It can greatly alleviate the reverse peak load regulation characteristics of offshore wind power in Zhejiang. It mainly limits the power grid through the automatic control system. Frequency changes to achieve primary frequency regulation, rapid voltage regulation, and peak shaving capabilities, thereby maintaining the stability of the power grid frequency and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid," said Wang Leigong, operations supervisor of China Resources Offshore Wind Power (Cangnan) Co., Ltd.

At present, China Resources Power Cangnan No. 1 offshore wind power project has achieved full capacity and is connected to the grid. It is expected that the annual grid-connected power of the wind farm can reach 1.35 billion kilowatts, and the annual equivalent full-load hours are 3,380 hours, which is comparable to conventional coal-fired thermal power units with the same power generation. Compared with this, it can save about 422,000 tons of standard coal every year. In addition, it can also save 4 million cubic meters of fresh water, with obvious economic and environmental benefits.
