It was learned on April 23 that recently, a number of wind power projects under Longyuan Electric Power Heilongjiang Company have made important progress. The company is located in Yichun city, Shimaodingzi, Xiaocheng Mountain, Laobaishan, Xiaobaishan wind farm and a series of wind power capacity upgrading projects, after strict review and evaluation, and finally obtained the approval of the development and reform Commission of Heilongjiang Province. The total capacity involved in this upgrading project reaches an astonishing 178.5 MW, marking another solid step in the technology and scale of Longyuan Power in the wind power sector.

These wind power projects are located in the beautiful mountains and rivers of Yichun city, Heilongjiang Province, and they have been in stable operation for more than 15 years since their construction. However, with the continuous progress of technology and changes in market demand, these old wind turbines have been difficult to meet the needs of efficient and environmentally friendly power generation. Therefore, Longyuan Power decided to upgrade these projects to improve their power generation efficiency and environmental benefits.

In this upgrade, Longyuan Power plans to dismantle the original 210 old wind turbines with a capacity of 850 kilowatts. Although these units once contributed to the local power supply, over time, their power generation efficiency and reliability have gradually declined, and have been unable to meet current demand. In order to solve this problem, Longyuan Power decided to use the original station to install 36 new wind turbines with a capacity of 5 MW. These new units feature the most advanced technology and design, with higher power generation efficiency and lower operating costs.

After all the renovation and upgrading of the project, it is expected that the annual power generation will reach about 520 million KWH. This figure will be significantly higher than before the transformation, and it is expected to increase electricity generation by about 100 million KWH per year. This will not only help ease the pressure on local power supply, but also provide strong support for local economic and social development.

In addition to economic benefits, the upgrading project will also bring significant social and environmental benefits. It is expected to save 158,600 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 505,000 tons and sulfur dioxide by 0.29 million tons per year. This will not only help reduce the consumption of fossil energy and the emission of pollutants, but also promote the development and application of local clean energy and promote the transformation of a green and low-carbon economy.
