Oman Mineral Development Company (MDO) has signed a strategic partnership with Mawarid Mining Company to increase the company's copper ore production.
According to the new partnership, Oman Mineral Development Company will entrust the processing and beneficiation of copper ore produced in the northern concession to the Mawarid Mining copper ore beneficiation plant located in the Wadi Al Jizzi area of the Suhar Vilayat province.
This agreement is signed by Eng. Nasser Saif Al Maqbali, CEO of MDO, and Tariq Mohammed Al Barwani, CEO of Mawarid Mining. Al Maqbali said, "This agreement marks a new stage in the existing strategic partnership between Oman Mineral Development Company and Mawarid Mining, which is expected to help improve the productivity of Oman's mining industry. It will also help develop and better utilize infrastructure and facilities specifically designed for processing and concentrating copper ore."

Al Barwani said, "This partnership is an outstanding collaboration model between the public and private sectors of the mining industry in managing and developing the mining industry value chain. This will enable us to put the copper industry at the forefront and enter the global market."
