According to the news on May 1, 2024, Yanggao County, Shanxi Province, held a green electricity conversion hydrogen +N green synthesis ammonia green methanol project cooperation agreement was signed. In the meeting room of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee, Xie Yun, deputy secretary of the County Party Committee and county governor, attended the event and delivered a speech. Bai Huaning, the Standing Committee of the county Party Committee and deputy county governor, and Ma Zhaohui, commander of Shanxi Headquarters of China Railway 15th Bureau Group, also attended the signing ceremony.

The signing of the cooperation agreement aims to give full play to the advantages of China Railway 15th Bureau in the integration of investment, construction and operation, and promote the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of Yanggao County. Green conversion hydrogen +N Green Synthesis ammonia Green methanol project will use renewable energy to electrolyze water to produce hydrogen, and produce green synthesis ammonia and green methanol, in order to achieve green and low-carbon development.

The project will use renewable energy to electrolyze water to produce hydrogen, and synthesize green ammonia and green methanol from green hydrogen. Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced by renewable energy generation, produced by electrolysis of water, and is a true way to achieve zero-carbon hydrogen production.
