This project is invested by GLOBELEQ company and will increase the energy export volume of Mozambique Electric Power Company, benefiting from the increase in regional energy sales prices and the growth of domestic market supply. The project budget is 270 million US dollars, of which 230 million US dollars will be used for power plants and construction, and the remaining portion will be used for the construction of 40 kilometers of transmission lines. The construction of the factory will last for two years and is expected to begin operation in mid-2026. It will strengthen the network of Mozambique Power Company in Maputo Province, Gaza Province, and Iniyanbane Province. This will be the country's first wind farm with a grid scale, in line with the government's energy transformation strategy, utilizing renewable resources to produce clean energy.

Mozambique has enormous potential in renewable energy, and clean energy will create grid resilience. We look forward to the early completion of this wind power plant!Editor/XuNing
