On May 21, 2024, Bazhong Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau joined hands with China Telecom Bazhong Branch to jointly hold a grand launch ceremony for the construction of China Telecom Bazhong Intelligent Computing Center and Computing Power Scheduling Baiyuntai Platform. The launch of this project marks a solid step taken by Bazhong City on the road to digital transformation.

It is reported that the total investment of the project is about 200 million yuan. It will build a computing computer room with 240,000 core VCPU and 115PB storage capacity in accordance with China Telecom's B-level standards. It will also be equipped with a complete computer room power distribution system, air conditioning system and fire protection system. The construction period of the entire project is estimated to be 3 months, which reflects the combination of efficiency and professionalism.

After the project is completed, it will comprehensively expand 5G applications in Bazhong City, enhance big data and computing resources, and provide strong digital base support for multiple fields. In particular, it will have a profound impact on the fields of intelligent manufacturing, precision manufacturing, artificial intelligence, etc., as well as the construction of industrial Internet platforms, large-scale deployment of nodes in the identification analysis industry, and sensing terminal applications such as sensors, meters, and controllers.
