The project has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan and is expected to be completed in 2025. It aims to optimize the transportation structure, reduce logistics costs, and promote the further development of multimodal transport.

The project is led by Ningxia International Port Zone Industrial Development Co., Ltd. It will build a 16-kilometer railway line, set up Lingang Station, Mengniu Dairy Station, and Free Trade Zone Station, with a designed transportation capacity of 8 million tons. The project will serve large enterprises such as Mengniu Dairy Factory, National Energy Lingwu Power Plant, and COFCO Feed in Lingwu Lingang Industrial Park, as well as the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, greatly meeting the raw material and product transportation needs of enterprises in the region and improving cargo logistics turnover. efficiency.

China Railway 15th Bureau Group First Engineering Co., Ltd. is the main contractor of the project. Project manager Xue Yongchun said that the construction will be carried out in strict accordance with the construction technology and procedures, and quality and safety management measures will be fully implemented to ensure the high quality of the project. This move not only reflects Yinchuan City's determination and strength in transportation infrastructure construction, but also further promotes Ningxia's move from the inland hinterland to the forefront of opening up and actively integrates into the Belt and Road Initiative.
