In April 2024, Guangxi's highway construction achieved remarkable results, with an investment of 8.13 billion yuan and a cumulative investment of 32.93 billion yuan in the first four months. It is planned to complete and open to traffic 13 highways within the year, with a total mileage expected to exceed 10,000 kilometers, marking the further improvement of Guangxi's highway network.

Nanzhan Expressway is fully connected. On May 22, the Guangxi section of the Nanzhan Expressway was fully connected and is expected to be officially opened to traffic in June. As an important part of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, the completion of the Nanzhan Expressway will provide a more convenient high-speed channel for Nanning, Guangxi to Zhanjiang, Guangdong.

Progress of Nanzhan Expressway construction. So far, the Nanzhan Expressway project has completed a total investment of 22.4 billion yuan, and the completion rate of various projects such as tunnels, roadbeds, bridges and culverts, and traffic safety has reached 99%, and the progress is smooth.

Yuheng section is sprinting to the end. The construction of the Yuheng section of the Cenxi-Daxin Highway has entered the sprinting and finishing stage, and it is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in June. By then, the expressway mileage from Nanning City to Fumian District, Yulin City will be shortened to about 160 kilometers, and the driving time will be greatly reduced.

The expansion of the common line section of Liyu Road has started. On May 16, the expansion project of the common line section of Liyu Road started. The project aims to build a two-way eight-lane intercity expressway between Nanning and Yulin, further promote the integrated development of the Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration, and strengthen the radiation and driving role of Nanning.

The new expressway project has been approved for construction. The first phase of the Wuzhou Longyanzui to Shuolong Expressway Wuzhou Ring Expressway South Section and the Longlin Weile Jingxilin to Guangnan Expressway Xingyi to Guangnan Guangxi Section has been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and has officially started construction, marking that these projects have entered the substantive construction stage.
