On June 30, 2024, in the magnificent scenery of the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, the key project of Huanglong Pumping water storage power station, the connecting road between the upper and lower reservoirs officially kicked off the construction, and the commencement ceremony was successfully held.

Xian Shixiong, Party Secretary, executive director and general manager of CNNC Xinhua Huanglong Company, extended a warm welcome to the guests attending the ceremony and introduced the important strategic background and construction significance of Huanglong pumped storage power Station. It is also hoped that the fourth hydropower Bureau of China can give full play to its professional advantages in the field of pumping and storage construction, ensure the safe and efficient promotion of the project, and contribute to the construction of Longdong energy base.

The construction content of the upper and lower reservoir connecting road project includes 1 permanent road, 3 temporary roads, No. 1 construction branch hole, No. 2 construction branch hole), the left bank and downstream slope of the lower reservoir sand barrier, and the maintenance and management of the construction period of the upper reservoir surface soil storage yard.

Huanglong Pumped storage Power Station is a national key project in the 14th Five-Year Plan, with a total installed capacity of 2.1 million kilowatts, including 6 reversible units of 350 thousand kilowatts, which is a first-class (1) type project.
