On July 16, 2024, in the vibrant city of Chengdu, Uzbekistan Hydropower and Energy Co., Ltd. and Bank of China Limited Sichuan Branch jointly witnessed the official signing of the loan agreement for the Zarchob Level 3 Hydropower Station Project in Uzbekistan. The cooperation ceremony brought together many important guests, including Mr. Li Jianhua, the first vice chairman of Uzbekistan Hydropower and Energy Co., Ltd., vice president of Dongfang Electric Corporation and chairman of Dongfang International, Mr. Hou Jianguo, vice president of Bank of China Sichuan Branch, and Mr. Zhang Qin, general manager of Sinosure Sichuan Branch.

In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the parties not only completed the signing of the loan agreement, but also conducted in-depth and friendly exchanges before the ceremony, jointly discussing how to further deepen cooperation and jointly promote the smooth implementation of the Zarchob Level 3 Hydropower Station Project. This cooperation not only reflects the close cooperative relationship between China and Uzbekistan in the energy field, but also lays a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two sides in more fields.

The first vice chairman of Uzbekistan Water and Energy Company spoke highly of the professional capabilities and outstanding contributions shown by Dongfang International in the cooperation project. He particularly emphasized the efforts and achievements of the Dongfang International team and expressed his deep appreciation. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Bank of China and other financial institutions for providing solid financial support, believing that such support played a vital role in the smooth progress of the project.
