On August 12, 2024, the viaduct project of the N112 section of the North-South Corridor in Singapore, constructed by the consortium led by China Civil Engineering, held a naming and commissioning ceremony for the bridge erecting machine. The bridge erecting machine was first launched on all bridge sections of the North-South Corridor, marking the project section. The beam erection work officially started. Nearly 200 people attended the event, including Huang Nan, President of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, the project owner, senior director of the North-South Corridor project group, consortium representatives, design consultants and subcontractor representatives.

The N112 project was signed and implemented in December 2019. The main project content includes a two-way 6-lane viaduct and ancillary ramp bridge. All segment beams are prefabricated and erected. Many technical indicators have refreshed Singapore records. As the section with the longest bridge mileage among the four bridge sections of the North-South Corridor in Singapore, the N112 project successfully achieved the first launch of the bridge erecting machine, and its construction speed led the adjacent sections, and it has won many commendations from the owners.

The naming and commissioning ceremony of the bridge erecting machine is an important milestone for the N112 project and kicks off the construction of the upper part of the bridge.
