On August 26, 2024, with the wave of the first shovel of soil, the demolition and reconstruction project of Taoyuan Yuanshui Bridge officially kicked off, marking a new page in the transportation network leading to Taoyuan.

The reconstructed bridge is carefully located approximately 34 meters upstream of the original site to further optimize the regional traffic layout. With a total length of 2.063 km, the design cleverly integrates the smoothness of secondary roads with the functionality of urban arterial roads, and the design speed is set at 50 km/h to ensure fast and safe driving. The standard cross-sectional width of the road is 21 meters, and it is planned as a two-way four-lane road, which effectively improves the traffic carrying capacity.

As the core part of the project, the bridge has a total length of 1.574 kilometers, and its design highlights are numerous. The main bridge of Zuoqi adopts advanced (75+2×135+75) meters of suspended continuous beam technology, showing the exquisite craftsmanship of modern bridge construction; The main bridge on the right side is unique in the form of a (1×260) meter under-supported tied arch bridge across Yuanshui, and its unique shape will become a landmark in the area. The total investment of the entire reconstruction project is as high as 598 million yuan, and the construction period is expected to be 42 months. This huge and complex project is not only a major upgrade of Taoyuan County's transportation infrastructure, but also a strong impetus for local economic and social development.
