On the morning of September 5, 2024, Bailian Village, Loutai Township, Zhushan County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, ushered in the historic moment of the official start of the construction of the Qinyu River Bridge. The construction period of the bridge is set at two years and follows a high standard of design, namely a 40 km/h, two-way two-lane secondary road bridge, extending to 234 meters in length and 12 meters in width, demonstrating the convenience and efficiency of modern transportation.

After the completion of the project, the Qinyu Dam River Bridge will become a key link connecting the S281 Shizhu Highway on the east bank of the Dam River and the X028 Xingcang Highway on the west bank, greatly optimizing the transportation network structure in the northeast of Zhushan County. This bridge is not only the fastest way for nearly 10,000 residents of six villages in Loutai Township, including Bailian Village, Loutai Village, and Maling Village, to reach the outside world, but also greatly promotes the traffic mobility in the region and realizes the efficient circulation of the internal transportation network of the township.

The smooth progress of this project benefited from the strong support and financial assistance of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Provincial Department of Water Resources in May 2024, and a special allocation of 30 million yuan for the historical problems in the reservoir area, providing a solid economic foundation for the construction of the bridge. The construction of the Qinyu River Bridge is not only an upgrade of transportation infrastructure, but also a dream journey of tens of thousands of immigrants in Loutai and Wenfeng for many years, which has an immeasurable positive impact on promoting nearby employment for the people of the two places, accelerating the export of agricultural products, and driving local economic development.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
