Recently, the construction of Xiangjing Railway ushered in an important milestone, Yicheng Hanjiang Bridge Xiangyang to Jingmen direction of the box girder erection work was successfully completed, the last piece of 690 tons of double-line 32 meters prefabricated box girder steadily fell on the 325 and 326 piers, this is the 326th hole box girder produced by Wangji beam yard, the beam yard is located in Xiangyang City, Yicheng City, Wangji Town, covers an area of 165 acres, responsible for the prefabrication and erection of the 488-hole box girder of the whole bid section.

In the evening, the (40+64+40) meter continuous beam of the Yicheng Hanjiang Bridge was also successfully closed, marking the further stabilization of the main structure of the 25.5-kilometer-long, cross-Hanjiang River, and extremely difficult construction. As a control project of the Xiangjing Railway, the bridge is not only the longest and most technically difficult bridge on the whole line, but also adopts a three-span low-tower cable-stayed bridge design to meet the challenges of the Class III waterway of the Han River.

As an important part of the Hunan Passage, the Xiangjing Railway connects Xiangyang and Jingmen in Hubei Province, with a total length of about 116.73 kilometers and a design speed of up to 350 kilometers per hour. The completion of the project will greatly shorten the travel time between Xiangyang and Jingmen to about half an hour, promote the improvement of the high-speed rail network along the Yangtze River, accelerate the construction of a two-hour living circle of Hubei high-speed rail, and promote the close connection and rapid development of the Yijingjing metropolitan area and the Xiangyang metropolitan area.
