On September 10, 2024, marking the day of a key breakthrough in major transportation construction projects in Liaoning Province, the Gaoli Fangshan Tunnel, built by China Railway Construction Investment Group and constructed by China Railway 25th Bureau Group, as the longest tunnel on the Lingsui Expressway, successfully achieved double-line penetration, laying a solid foundation for the early opening of the whole line.
Located in Suizhong County, Huludao City, the Gaoli Fangshan Tunnel is not only a control project of Lingsui Expressway, but also one of the key traffic arteries in Liaoning Province. With a total length of 5,490 meters, the tunnel passes through rugged low hills and hills, and is buried at a maximum depth of about 260 meters.
Lingsui Expressway, as an important joint nine line in the strategic planning of the Northeast Regional Highway Network of the Ministry of Communications, spans 175.07 kilometers from eastern Inner Mongolia to western Liaoning, and its construction is of immeasurable value for promoting regional resource development and utilization and economic growth.
On the occasion of the peak autumn construction season, the Lingsui Expressway project has been accelerated, and the main works of the two key nodes: Lizhou Bridge and Gaoli Fangshan Tunnel have been completed, providing strong support for the full completion of the project in 2025. As a model of central enterprises, China Railway Construction is actively carrying forward the glorious tradition and fighting spirit of railway soldiers, and fully supporting Liaoning to build a new highland of opening up and cooperation in Northeast Asia.
