On September 23, 2024, at the foot of the magnificent Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, the first flight ceremony of the RX1E-A two seater electric aircraft in Yanqing was held at Yanqing Badaling Airport. With the roar of the electric motor, the plane quickly glides like a nimble eagle and rushes towards the blue sky, with a light and graceful posture that stands out against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds.

The RX1E-A electric aircraft has been awarded the model qualification certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China since October 2018 and obtained the production license in April of the following year. It has accumulated over 10000 hours of safe flight and can be equipped with a complete parachute. The aircraft has a range of 150 minutes and a maximum range of 240 kilometers. It belongs to the two seater light sports aircraft category and is mainly used for pilot flight training and experience flying.

Yang Fengtian, an academician of the CAE Member, took the new energy general aircraft as the main direction of attack, and carried out the development of lithium battery, fuel cell UAVs, Ruixiang electric two seat (RX1E), extended range (RX1E-A), four seat (RX4E) and other series of aircraft models. At present, the team of Academician Yang Fengtian has officially settled in Yanqing, Beijing. To provide solid support for scientific research and innovation, Yanqing Park in Zhongguancun, Beijing has utilized idle resources within the park to create an exclusive space of over 11000 square meters.
