On September 24, 2024, with the dawn breaking through the tranquility of the sea level, China's marine scientific research field once again ushered in a historic moment - China's independently developed manned submersible support mother ship "Deep Sea One" and its iconic deep-sea exploration partner "Jiaolong" successfully completed its first international cooperation deep-sea scientific research expedition, slowly entering Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, receiving warm welcome and high attention from the scientific research community and the public around the world.

This voyage is not only a concentrated display of China's deep-sea technological strength, but also an important practice of global ocean research cooperation. During a 45 day deep diving expedition, the scientific research fleet consisting of "Deep Sea One" and "Jiaolong" crossed the vast western Pacific Ocean and delved into the rarely visited deep sea secrets, carrying out a series of unprecedented scientific exploration activities. A team of top scientists from multiple countries worked closely together, utilizing the powerful diving capability and high-precision detection equipment of the Jiaolong spacecraft to conduct comprehensive and in-depth investigations and research on the deep-sea ecosystem in the Western Pacific.

During the exploration process, researchers have discovered numerous unknown species of deep-sea organisms, which greatly enrich human understanding of deep-sea biodiversity with their unique survival strategies and peculiar forms. At the same time, through detailed analysis of deep-sea sediments, water chemical characteristics, and geological structures, the scientific research team also revealed the close relationship between deep-sea environment and global climate change, providing valuable scientific data for predicting future climate change trends.

The international voyage of "Deep Sea One" and "Jiaolong" not only promotes exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries in the field of deep-sea technology, but also promotes the sharing and integration of global deep-sea scientific research resources. Scientists from various countries have enhanced mutual understanding and friendship in the face of the challenges of deep-sea exploration, contributing their wisdom and strength in the field of the ocean to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
