On September 27th, the new construction project of Pinggu local railway was officially launched. The project is centered around the Mafang Station of Pinggu Local Railway, and through the construction of new south and north yard areas, optimizes resource allocation, increases the proportion of public rail intermodal transportation, and provides strong support for the smooth circulation of urban production and living materials.
The new construction project of Pinggu local railway is a key part of the spatial layout of the Jingping comprehensive logistics hub. The new construction project covers a total area of 225000 square meters and will construct 7 new lines, with a total track laying length of 8.35 kilometers and a total construction area of 8470 square meters. The total investment is approximately 812 million yuan. After completion, the Jingping Comprehensive Logistics Hub will have various functions such as frozen and refrigerated food storage services, distribution services, import and export trade services, port services, online comprehensive display of food, and transactions. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
The Pinggu Local Railway is the only local railway in Beijing, built in 1977 and officially opened in 1985. It starts from Sanping Station of the Beijing Harbin Railway (Sanhe City, Hebei Province) and ends at Mafang Station in Pinggu District, with a total length of 16.2 kilometers. By 2030, three stations and six stations will be built, namely Pinggu Station, Mafang Station, and Sanping Station; The spatial layout of Pinggu Field Area, North Field Area, Midfield Area, South Field Area, Sanping Handover Field Area, and Zhongtan Cement Field Area. After completion, the transportation capacity that the Jingping Logistics Hub can carry will reach 40 million tons, fully unleashing the service potential and radiation effect of the logistics corridor, and becoming an important node in the domestic circulation.Editor/Cheng Liting
