In Ayouqi Tamsu Prague Sumu, the Ayou Banner Jingxin Tamsu 400,000 kW sand prevention and control photovoltaic project officially kicked off on September 25, 2024. The groundbreaking ceremony was personally attended by Gao Zheng, Secretary of the Flag Committee, and Pan Cunjun, Deputy Flag Commander, delivered a speech.

The project is of great significance as the first phase of the Alxa League Desertification Prevention and Control and Wind Power and Photovoltaic Integration Project of Envision Mengxin Group in the Ayouqi area. The whole project is planned to be carried out in two phases, with a total installed capacity of up to 1.145 million kilowatts, and the first phase of the project has laid out 400,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation facilities. These photovoltaic facilities will be connected to the Aguang-2 500 kV substation, and will be equipped with an electrochemical energy storage system with a capacity of 15% and continuous discharge for 2 hours.

The static investment of the project reached 1.412 billion yuan, and it is expected to be fully completed and put into operation for power generation by the end of 2025. This will not only inject new vitality into the energy structure of Ayouqi, but also provide strong support for the local desertification prevention and control work, and promote the continuous improvement of the ecological environment.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
