Recently, Heze Transportation Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. officially launched the construction of the fifth section SG5 of the Houlou to Guanqiao section of the second phase of the New Wanfu River Fuhang project, and held a grand groundbreaking ceremony. The total length of the project is about 3.45 kilometers, and the total investment is expected to reach 490 million yuan according to the class III waterway standard design.
This project is an important component of the three-year action plan to accelerate the high-quality development of inland waterway transportation in Shandong Province. According to the plan, Shandong Province will strive to enhance the infrastructure level of inland waterway transportation, improve the service guarantee system, and fully leverage the advantages of inland waterway transportation in the comprehensive transportation system. By 2025, a main framework of waterways with one vertical and two horizontal, three main and multiple branches will be formed, and the mileage of high-grade waterways in the province will exceed 500 kilometers. The annual cargo throughput of ports will double to over 160 million tons, and the container throughput will also significantly increase.
The construction content of SG5 in the second phase of the Xinwanfu River restoration project includes waterway engineering, Guanqiao control gate engineering, Guanqiao pump station, and other supporting projects. These projects will undergo comprehensive construction and warranty work in accordance with the construction drawings and list requirements to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
The coal resources along the Xinwanfu River are abundant, with a total reserve of over 10 billion tons. In order to meet the demand for waterway transportation in economic development, mineral resource development, and urban construction, Heze City has divided the construction of the Xinwanfu River waterway into two phases based on the principle of cascade development. At present, the first phase of the project has been completed and put into operation, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the second phase.
The implementation of the second phase of the Xinwanfu River restoration project will further improve the comprehensive transportation system in Heze, enhance transportation efficiency, and provide a more convenient waterway transportation channel for the development of local coal and other mineral resources. At the same time, it will inject new vitality into the sustained and healthy development of the economy in Heze. Editor/Cheng Liting
